ReUse Month 2018
The Baby Market Ireland are excited to be involved in ReUse Month 2018. This fantastic national initiative runs for the month of October with the aim of educating people about reusing products and materials that may be considered at the end of their life.
The Baby Market falls into the circular economy category which is a fancy term for keeping items in use for as long as possible by selling them on once finished with. We love the circular economy for all the obvious reasons. It saves money, puts money back in your community members pockets, provides a bit of cash for the next round of stuff and saves perfectly good items from reaching the trash heap while there’s life left in them yet.
It’s our children and theirs that will feel the effects of our currently somewhat wasteful society, and by embracing the reuse of baby items we’re saving this pretty awesome planet for our next nearest and dearest, our bundles of joy.
Watch this space for further details of October, National ReUse Month 2018 and how we’ll be promoting it’s important message!

Changes at Baby Market Ireland
We like to think that we are constantly changing and evolving to meet our customers needs and wishes. Sometimes this change happens through careful planning and strategy and sometimes a shake-up occurs out of the blue and like a domino effect, all change!
Original baby market founder, Angie Nagle went with her calling of a PhD this summer, handing the running of the Baby Market Ireland to market organiser Roisin Delaney. Angie entrusted the running of her Cork event to Katerina who had previously run the Limerick event before taking a break to introduce another little life into this world. Killarney organiser Trish Cleary has taken on Limerick with open arms and both look forward to holding their first events in these new (to them) venues!
We look forward to settling into our new roles and providing the same high standard of events with great quality second hand baby items and local baby related business stalls with products and services to tickle any new and new to be parents taste buds!

Early Entry
Our Early Entry tickets have been going down a treat in Cork, which were rolled out earlier this year. Due to the positive feedback of this pilot project and the fact that they’ve been selling out like hotcakes every time, we’ve decided to add them to Galway and Navan!
The benefits of this new system include a little bit of crowd control for your shopping pleasure. We won’t call it a frenzied stampede when doors first open, and we won’t say that eagerness seems to overcome sense sometimes with all those quality bargains calling out to be snapped up but we will say that two separate entry times have made for a calmer, more spacious shopping experience at our larger events!
Early entry tickets allow entry for a limited number of customers 30 minutes before the event opens. Early Entry tickets cost 8 euro per person and are available to purchase here.
